Our First Electric Vehicle!

Our first Electric Vehicle type = SAIC Maxus eDeliver 3

We are cautiously entering into the electric vehicle market, to monitor how electric vehicles fit in with our way of operation. We will talk about this further when we have gained more experience and roll this out further if we feel it’s the right way to go.

We are keen to reduce our carbon footprint, time will tell if this is the right action to take, personally we believe hydrogen gas maybe the answer in the long-term, either by fuel cell or a form of combustion.

We are recruiting!

We are currently recruiting for an Industrial/Domestic Gas & Oil Heating Engineer. Interested? E-mail info@nt.services or call the Office on 01482 838080 for more information.

RPZ Inspection & Certification

RPZ

This week NTS Ltd have completed RPZ inspections at a local laboratory and some council buildings.

The RPZ valves have been commissioned and certified by our trained engineer.

If you have RPZ valves installed on your property that have not recently been inspected and certified, please contact us and we will be happy to make an appointment.

Accredited RPZ Valve Inspector

NTS Ltd is now an accredited approved inspector for RPZ valves, which allows us to carry out tests under the WRAS Advisory standards.

RPZ stands for Reduced Pressure Zone. This device is installed onto some plumbing systems to protect drinking water and the city water supply from contaminants.

RPZ valves are required when a house or building is equipped with an irrigation system, fire suppression system, or a large boiler (hereinafter referred to as Systems). Contaminants can enter an irrigation system from fertilizer or pesticides that are sprayed onto lawns. In the case of a boiler or fire suppression system, water sits stagnant or trapped in these systems, which leads to a build-up of bacteria and increased mineral content from the piping system.

To book in or request a quote please do not hesitate to contact us.

Heating Service

Has your Domestic/Commercial Heating system recently been serviced ready for the autumn/winter?

A lot of us do not think about servicing our heating system until the cold weather hits us, and then as soon as we turn on the heating, it doesn’t  work.
Why not give us a call on 01482 838080 and we will be happy to provide you with a free quotation and we can arrange a service to be booked in with our qualified engineers.

UKATA Asbestos Training

We would like to thank our engineers who committed their own time to attend a UKATA approved training course on how to manage asbestos safely.

This course was organised by HCF and the training was provided by Furncroft .

British Grand Prix

2016 will mark our 17th attendance at the British Grand Prix to provide on site support for all the Mechanical services based at the famous Silverstone Circuit, this will be our 2nd year of looking after the Silverstone Wing which is the recently built epicentre for race control, pits and the press.

The whole site transforms from a sparsely occupied site with only maintenance staff and administration staff using the facilities to that of a small town with hundreds of thousands of people using the facilities. This puts an incredible strain on water supplies, drainage and temperature control.  Forward planning and rapid  response keeps this discreetly all under control and our 24/7 attendance of this event can be hectic.

Long may it continue!

Work Experience

16 year old Jordan Rushton from Wolfreton School has been on a 1 week work experience programme with Neville Tucker Services working alongside our electrical engineer, this will allow him adapt to an engineering working environment and give him hands on experience using tools.

This is a valuable learning experience for Jordan and will stand him in good stead for the future.

Apprentice of the Year

Our Directors attended a Hull College apprentice of the year award ceremony on behalf of our 2 apprentices Zackary Williams & John Marshall.

Both apprentices are taking their training with JTL. Zackary who has been an apprentice of Neville Tucker Services for 2 Years is looking to accomplish his NVQ level 2 in Plumbing & Heating, John Marshall is working towards level 2 in Electrical Engineering and both have proven to us to be dedicated and hardworking employees.

Very well done to you both !

Fire Training

This weekend our engineers have taken a fire training course.

The course taken consists of 9 hours training including practical test having to put out a live fire in a fire extinguisher training Unit.

This training will allow our engineers to become familiar with operating an extinguisher and to gain the knowledge of types of fire and which extinguishers to use in varying circumstances. This will allow our engineers to be confident in using extinguishers and fire blankets should the situation arise.

READY STEADY GO!

Ready Steady Go - Hull - East Yorkshire

We have joined forces with a local organization called ‘Ready Steady Go’.  The object of this select group of Companies is to provide professional products and technical services to the education sector in Hull and the surrounding areas.

The main object is to provide all the services necessary to maintain the function of these premises, without the need to source these facilities outside the Hull area.  This ensures that the recipient gets the best value for money, without unnecessary travelling expenses and because each Company has to satisfy strict criteria, the customer can be confident they receive the best possible standards using approved products and properly trained personnel.

We at Neville Tucker Services Ltd are proud to be part of the scheme.
